About Me
My name is Scott Dial, if you haven’t already figured that one out, genius. I hail from Indiana. I’m a software developer, musician, and motorcyclist.
I got my bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from Rose-Hulman in ’06, received a master’s degree in Computer Science from Indiana University in ’08. I then waffled for 3 years trying to get PhD, but ultimately bailed out of it due to a lack of dedication. I started working for Scientia LLC in ’11 to get on with life.
I play a variety of instruments. Mostly I play guitar and force people to listen to me sing. I played marching snare drum in High School and beat on a drumset on the side, and recently picked back up playing drumset. I take every chance I get to take my motorcycle to various racetracks around the Midwest with NESBA.
And for those of you that are like, “I just am trying to figure out if you are that dude that always fell asleep in my classes:” yes, that was me. Feel free to shoot me an email and remind me of how much of a dork you remember me as.
