A Real Meal
I was feeling especially domestic today and splurged (both my money and time) on an actual home-cooked dinner. I thought I would post a picture here as proof that I can and have cooked real meals. And besides, the front page was looking a little plain without any pictures (and was due for a new post, as well).

Please try to contain your excitment; drool is not good for your keyboard.

Are those baby-back ribs? I hope you used my famous recipe, Scott. A few greens in the middle would make the plate more attractive as well as regulating your bowel movements. Hey, did those ribs come from a pig or a visiting deer? They’re a might small for a rodent. Maybe it’s a steak now that I look at it. You need to clarify. Instant spuds or mashed? Oleo or butter? Canned, frozen, or fresh corn? Awaiting your reply. Jeez, Trish! The kid eats pretty extravagantly since he got new digs.

Definitely a strip steak, instant spuds (butter and herbs), and canned corn. In the future, I think I will use frozen corn like my mother uses, and the strip steak was the splurge.. I can’t say I can afford choice cuts of meat on a regular basis

Glad to know you are eating healthy. Now I know what you can do when you come home to visit. You will be in charge of cooking. Of course I can’t afford the steak so we’ll see what wonderful meals you can come up with using hamburger meat. Yes Deb, he’s become a regular Emeril. Hope he doesn’t change his major to a culinary arts degree!
