Outstanding
On Saturday, the Rose-Hulman awards banquet was held. I had received notice about 2 weeks back that I was receiving an award, but I was very clueless what I was receiving. The Computer Science Department gave me the award for “Most Outstanding Senior Thesis.” I was honored with my name engraved on a plaque, a certificate from the department head, and a monetary award. My photo was taken with the department head and was going to be sent to the paper, so perhaps it will end up in the IndyStar, but who knows. In the meantime, I have the photos that my mother and father took over here.
I apologize for the poorly themed gallery.. I hadn’t ever anticipated posting photos, so I just set that up for this and I don’t have the time right now to make it make look more like the blog, so bear with me.

Where are the tears and emotion??? I’d have been bawling like a Peggy if I had seen this! Congrats Scottie old boy. Perhaps the rat infested environment you were forced to endure played a part in your ability to overcome adversity and beat the odds. When you are rich and your parents are old and feeble, remind them of what they put you through.

Excuse me- the apt had ants and an deer now and then. They kept him company! Yes, we are quite proud of Scott’s achievments. I still wonder where the brains and musical talent came from. If I hadn’t been in the delivery room, I would wonder if he was really mine. We are looking for to graduation and everyone is invited!

I had a typo- it should read “a dear”. I do know my grammer.

Trish! Please tell me that was a joke with the typo of grammar and spelling deer as dear! Perhaps Scott IS someone else’s child!

I was just trying to see if you were paying attention! Just so you know, English was never one of Scott’s best subjects so I guess he does take after me.

Congrats Scott! Only 15 years of school to go! Just kidding.
