Endings of All Sorts
I finished with classes in the middle of last week. I had three finals over three days time. I feel like I did well on two of them, and the other I feel like I did as well as I could (which may or not actually be as well as required). I have consistently been misled by my intuition about what grade I will get, so I will just not guess.
In the middle of “hell week” (the week before finals in which all projects are due), my laptop hard drive died. I am now on my 4th hard drive. It seems that I cannot expect one to last more than 6 months. I am amazingly delicate with my laptop compared to my peers, so I hate to think how often they replace their hard drives. I don’t mind the replacement, because I backup nightly, but it couldn’t have happened at a more inconvienant time.
I saw the new Star Wars movie. Thoroughly unimpressed. Yet again, we find technology more advanced than anything in the next movie (the original). The story itself is not very compelling either. The bad guys throughout the trilogy have been throw-away characters. I’m sorry folks, but George Lucas is not a good storyteller.
