First week down..
Sometime yesterday morning I switched severs. This one is named “Barkley”, named after yet another Sesame Street character. I was given this server by my boss because it was phased out and was going to be thrown out. Hence, the symbolism is that Barkley was phased out. Nevertheless, it is much faster than the old server and hopefully the pages are slightly more responsive.
In other news, I have finalized my decision to work with Dr. Mutchler next year. The topic is still entirely up in the air other being something in artificial intelligence or applications thereof. I don’t really need to have a topic worked out until the fall next year, so I am ok with that. Dr. Mutchler is going to be attending some conferences during the summer that should provide some “cutting edge” ideas for me to investigate.
I seem to have left my power supply for my laptop in the Haute, so bah on myself. Perhaps that mistake will let me get to some of the other school stuff I need to be doing offline (such as reading: “The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy”).
